Sharon Roberts, PharmD, JD, CDR

Sharon B. Roberts, a native South Floridian, obtained a doctorate degree in Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) in 1992 and became a Registered Pharmacist. Dr. Roberts served as the Patient Care Coordinator of Pharmacy Service for the Ryder Trauma Center at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, FL. During her pharmacy practice years, Sharon was an active participant of the Administrative Affairs Counsel of the Florida Society of Health Systems Pharmacists. Her strengths within the regulatory realm of pharmaceuticals enticed her to enroll in law school where she obtained a Juris Doctorate degree in 1998. As an Attorney, Dr. Roberts successfully handled many high-profile cases in insurance defense/product liability law.

Dr. Sharon Roberts then became licensed as a Certified Designated Representative (CDR) and worked for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation Drug, Device and Cosmetics Program (DDC) of the State of Florida where she was a State Inspector/Drug Agent inspecting businesses involved in the manufacture, purchase, storage and sale of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, devices and cosmetics. As part of this experience she became intimately familiar with the Florida Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act. The contents of this Act are the basis of the studies required to become a State Certified Designated Representative (CDR).
